HogitUp.com announces closing!

The latest incarnation of penny auctions by HogitUp.com is now officially among the ranks of failed prospects.

quit Rabideagle Enterprises announced today that they will stop operations of paid auctions at HogitUp.com. As many have done in the past, they point to bidder complaints and issues as the reason for their failing. In this particular instance it seems as if the frustration of continued attempts to please customers has finally caught up with them.

Here's some of what HogitUp.com posted at their site today;

"HogitUp.com will completely cease all paid membership auctions effective 3-19-2012.

Following two different email complaints from users that don’t wish to take the time to understand how the auctions here at HogitUp.com operate we have decided that we are simply sick and tired of fielding complaints from people that don’t take the time to read.
No matter how many places we state how the site operates, what the rules are, why things work the way they do….no one bothers to read it. They prefer instead to email us telling us that they will post in forums that we use BOTS, allow collusion, or whatever else they can think of to threaten us into giving them free money.

Free bidding penny auction site changes it up

HogitUp.com, the free bidding penny auction site, has announced changes to their site for this week. HogitUp.com offers penny auctions in a subscription format where there are no per bid fees. They have been running auctions only on the week-ends following a week of collecting what they called the member pool.

This week HogitUp.com announced that they will be running live, free bidding auctions every day. They indicate that the initial weekly auctions will be kept small as they continue to slowly grow their site and introduce this unique concept to the penny auction community.

So far this site has allowed unlimited free bidding with the purchase of a weekly membership. It appears that most of the auctions on the site have then been won by a very few of the subscribing members. Hogitup.com staff advised that they are trying out these new win limits in an effort to keep the site moving in the direction that they intended with it's re-launch.
