I know I sure am. With the end of the NBA season, there just doesn't seem to be much left on TV to keep you entertained until the NFL rolls around. Trying to stay entertained, I was watching ESPN and some show about Golf, then Tennis, then Curling.. You get my point, not even ESPN can save the day. Then I saw the ad for SkoreIt.com.
Oh yeah! Penny Auctions are great source of entertainment. Something to tie you over until football season. Have you tried any new sites popping up?
PennyWizard.com - New site running Bargains and Fun's Script with many features such as Blind Auctions, Nailbiter Auctions, Bid Wizard and the Power Wizard. Mostly gift cards being auctioned off with some bid packs.
JagBidz.com - Opened about 4 months ago, but seem to be very favorable to the Forum community. They have had some issues with growth and have been up and down frequently. When they were up though, reviews have been stellar.
firearmsauction.org - Not sure what to think about this site that sells guns, accessories, hunting equipment, and such. I'm sure there is value and a market for it.
frogeebidz.com - Is a mostly timerless reserve site that has many products from gift cards to kindles. Tried registering, and there were issues with phone number requirements. They have some weekly tournament auctions similar to seat auctions, but since registration was difficult, I didn't get to check out how that works.
PennyBuster.com - Just opened this past week, and has many gift card auctions running.
Along with those, there are a lot of site doing some re-tooling, streamlining and script modifications. Below are a couple sites with noticable mods in the works.
Quibids.com has added some new streamlined design and auction history tools, tables giving it more transparency to the end users and bidders. Now members can do some detailed reserach before they bid on the site.
Musibids.com appears to be taking a short respit to add new features, and re-skinning of the Your-PA Script. They are currently hosting some charity auctions where the value of each bid plus .50 will be donated to the charities of the auction. Winner pays the ended auction price, and Musibids.com will match and donate the ended auction price as well.
So go out and have some fun playing penny auctions. But remember to do your homework and save some green on great prizes.
